B.East / SPP

Wales have announced home venues for their UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign as Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham.

Having topped League B as part of the EURO qualifying campaign, Rhian Wilkinson’s side will compete in League A for the 2025 UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign, facing Italy, Sweden and Denmark.

The first home match of the campaign brings Sweden to the STōK Cae Ras in Wrexham on Tuesday 25 February (7:15pm KO), having previously played there in April last year for Rhian Wilkinson’s first game in charge, a 4-0 win against Croatia.

The Cardiff City Stadium, the venue of Wales women’s record-breaking attendance of 16,845 in the EURO play-off final against the Republic of Ireland last November, will host Denmark on Friday 4 April (7:15pm KO).

The Nations League campaign will then end at the Swansea.com Stadium, a month before the start of the UEFA Women’s EURO finals in Switzerland, where Wales will face Italy on Tuesday 3 June (KO TBC). Wales’ last visit to Swansea was an impressive 0-0 draw to Germany in December 2023, in a match which celebrated a record attendance for a fixture outside of Cardiff.

Speaking about the announcement, Rhian Wilkinson said: “As we prepare for our first appearance in a major tournament, we felt that it was important to give the opportunity for our fans across the country to support and celebrate the team in the build-up to the EUROs. Playing in Wrexham, Cardiff and Swansea gives us the perfect opportunity to do so as we look to face tough but exciting opposition for the Nations League campaign. We can’t wait to see the Red Wall turn up in their numbers for these huge games.”

Venue details have also been confirmed for the away fixtures. The full schedule is available below.
