Although Man City have the chance to match the Gunners’ current points tally from one game more, Birmingham City stand in their way and would go second themselves should they pull off an away win.

Chelsea could end the year in third spot if the take maximum points at a Brighton side who have just four to their name so far.

Reading might also close the gap on one or both of the teams in second and third when hosting Liverpool.

Everton look to make it back-to-back wins for new boss Willie Kirk as they take on former charges of his in Bristol City.

Yeovil welcome West Ham hoping to avenge the September defeat by a late goal away to the Hammers.

Manchester United will try to extend their three-point advantage at the top of the Championship when visiting third-placed Durham, whom they beat 1-0 in the Conti Cup in midweek.

Charlton sit second ahead of a trip to Lewes and Spurs need to bounce back from two defeats in league and cup when entertaining Crystal Palace in a London derby.

London Bees are a point short of fifth-placed visitors Leicester, while Aston Villa meet mid-table Sheffield United.
