Manchester City pipped Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in the International Champions Cup Women’s Tournament, while North Carolina Courage edged Lyon 1-0 in the final.

PSG were ahead after only 2 minutes at the Hard Rock Stadium, as Kadidatou Diani crossed for Turkey international Melike Pekel to slot home past Karen Bardsley.

The City goalkeeper then denied Diani a goal of her own with an outstretched leg, before Nick Cushing’s side turned the game around with two goals in 4 minutes leading up to half time.

Caroline Weir deliveries lead to both goals; her corner was nodded in by Jill Scott and then a free kick led to a Mie Jans getting her first goal for the club with a header.

After the break, City retained their advantage as Bardsley again thwarted Diani, parried away an Ashley Lawrence header and at the death caught Andrine Hegerberg’s powerful volley.

Former Arsenal player Heather O’Reilly scored her first goal for North Carolina Courage.

Her 11th-minute effort was sufficient to beat Olympique Lyonnais and lift the trophy for the American side.
