Thailand repeated their group stage victory over Australia U-20s to win the South East Asian Championshi for the fourth successive time.

The Thai side topped their group after winning all four games, including a 4-2 victory over their final opponents in which Kanjana Sungngoen hit a hat-trick.

Vietnam finished on maximum points in Group B, three ahead of Myanmar – whom they edged in a seven-goal thriller – while hosts Indonesia had to be happy with two draws.

Thailand then defeated Myanmar 3-1 in the semi-finals, while the Young Matildas were 4-2 winners over Vietnam.

While Vietnam finished third with a clearer 3-0 victory over Myanmar, Thailand had to come from two goals down to beat Australia and keep their crown.

Mary Fowler scored twice by the hour mark but¬†Suchawadee Niidhamrong¬†quickly pulled one back,¬†Orathai Srimanee equalised and Rattikan Thongsombut’s curling effort then proved to be the winner.
