Norwegian international midfielder, Andrine Hegerberg has joined Paris Saint-Germain for an undisclosed fee.
The Blues say they extended Hegerberg’s contract in December but an offer from PSG was lodged towards the end of the transfer window and formalities for the move have now been completed.
City boss Marc Skinner told birminghamcityladiesfc.co.uk: “PSG will be getting a player that is extremely professional and will fit straight into their playing philosophy.
“As always when a player departs, there is a great opportunity for somebody else to take and I will encourage all at the club to do so.”
Hegerberg, 24, signed for Blues in June 2016 and played in the 2016 Continental Cup Final and last year’s Women’s FA Cup Final.
