Ayling bags brace for Archers

Cardiff Met’s 3-0 victory over Llandudno put them well clear of second-placed Swansea City, who have just the one game in hand.

Home keeper Sara Moreira was forced to make a fine save before Kitty Wells won a 25th-minute, which Stacey Ayling converted.

Ayling doubled the lead from open play just after the hour mark and Stephanie Turner struck on 77 minutes to seal the Archers’ ninth successive win.

Rhyl hit last-minute winner

Rhyl scored late on for a good 2-1 win over Port Talbot Town, who had held reigning champions Swansea City last week.

At the changed venue of Bala Town FC, Rhyl opened the scoring through Paige Williams but the visitors levelled with a lob from the edge of the box.

However, in the last-minute of the match, Ashleigh Mills netted to secure a third win for Rhyl, leaving them nine points above the bottom two.

Caldicot docked nine points

Caldicot Town have been docked nine points for fielding an ineligible player three times earlier in the season, resulting in them tumbling to the bottom of table on minus 3 points.
