Northern: Blackburn and Fylde on maximum points

Blackburn Rovers made it three straight wins as they won the top of the Northern clash 2-1 away at Huddersfield Town. The Terriers took the lead through Kate Mallin shortly before half time but Jess Holbrook and Kaylea Cunliffe turned the match in Rovers favour during an eight-minute spell.

Nottingham Forest are second after edging the East Midlands clash with Derby County. Hazzana Parnell latched onto a ball to chip the keeper for the only goal of the game in the second half.

Fylde made it two wins from two when scoring twice past visitors Guiseley. Lauren Davies opened the scoring on 15 minutes and the points were sealed in the last 10 minutes, as Lagan Makin crossed for Danielle Young to turn in.

Bradford City got their first victory with a 4-1 result over Wolves, with all their goals in the last dozen minutes, which also featured a red card for the visitors’ Jenni Anslow. Wanderers led at half-time through a Jade Cross effort but City keeper Natalie Saunders saved a penalty. Ellie White eventually levelled, with Charlotte Stuart and an Abi Lee brace seeing the Bantams home.

Middlesbrough joined Leicester City on 6 points after defeating them 2-1 on their own ground. City’s Leigh Dugmore cancelled out Ellie Dobson’s goal but Emily Scarr won it with an 80th-minute free-kick.

Stoke City got off the mark at the expense of West Brom, thrashing them 5-0 to send them bottom of the table. Ashleigh Hayes and Louise Roberts scored before the break, Hannah Keryakoplis bagged a brace afterwards and Tash Tezgel got the fifth.

Southern: Perfect records for South East London rivals 

Local rivals Charlton Athletic and Crystal Palace are the only Southern Division sides with maximum points from 3 games. high-scoring Eagles hitting Swindon Town 7-0 while the Addicks grabbed a stoppage-time winner at Portsmouth. Gemma Bryan netted five for Palace and Stef Simmons a brace, while Kit Graham struck the only goal at Pompey.

C & K Basildon are the other unbeaten side after sending West Ham to a 3-0 defeat.  Angela Addison headed the opener after the interval, Jay Blackie and Zoe Rushen both extending the advantage.

Chichester City claimed their first ever points at this level, with a 5-2 success at Cardiff where all the goals came in the first 45. Cori Williams converted a spot-kick for the hosts, Jess Lewry, Charley Wilson-Blakely, Jenna Fowlie and Chloe Tucker’s deflected free-kick making it 4-1, after which Caitlin Morris replied but Wilson-Blakely got her second.

Lewes leapfrogged Coventry United with the only goal in their meeting. It cane just 2 minutes in from Rebecca Carter, with Coventry hitting the post from a 75th-minute penalty.

Gillingham netted four without reply at QPR. Jenny Newman scored the Gills first and last goals, Danni Farmer and Jade Keogh on the scoresheet inbetween. Rangers’ Mara Deluca was sent off after 58 minutes.

Midlands Division 1: Saints, Moors and Brewers all going 100%

TNS are still top on goal-difference from Solihull and Burton, The New Saints 3-1 winners at Rotherham with goals by Emily Ridge, Wilkinson and Canlett. Lois Jefferies and Melissa Pugh scored Moors’ goals at Sporting Khalsa, while Jordan Atkin hit a hat-trick for Albion as they beat Birmingham & West Midlands 4-1. Loughborough Foes won 2-0 at Long Eaton with second-half goals from Chloe Young and Shauna Chambers. Steel City banked their first points by hitting Leicester Ladies for six, while Radcliffe Olympic and Sheffield United ended goalless.

Northern Division 1: Third wins for Brighouse and Feds

Jodie Redgrave netted a first-half treble as Brighouse won 6-2 at Chester le Street, with Emily Starkie, Rebecca Kendell and Cara Mahoney getting Town’s other goals as they went top. Liverpool Feds had to come from behind to defeat Leeds 2-1. Roisin Havelin and Amy Seagraves scored in a three-minute spell following Carey Huegett’s opener. Crewe were the first side to take points off Hull, Alex scoring through Laura Garner, the Tigresses levelling but unable to find a winner. Morecambe’s first win came with a 4-1 result at Bolton, Newcastle got going with a 2-1 victory at Mossley with goals by Jade Anderson and Steph Ord, while Barnsley claimed their first point in the league after finishing 0-0 with Chorley.

South East Division 1: Hatters hit top

Luton Town are the last team left with a 100% record after a 5-1 victory over Haringey, Jodie Rutherford converting two penalties, Jodie Bellinger also scoring twice and Rebecca Kane the other. Actonians dropped their first points when going down 4-0 at MK Dons and missing a penalty, Dawn Mallett (2), Charly Wright and Anna Loftus the scorers. Ipswich also lost their perfect record when sharing four goals at Cambridge, Cassie Craddock and Amanda Crump putting them ahead, Amy Howlett and Nuala Wayne replying. Wimbledon were 3-1 winners at Denham, where Rebecca Sargent struck early and late, Caroline Bisson getting the other for the Dons. Orient netted nine past Enfield for the first league win, including braces by Sophie Le Marchand, Ella May and Chanel Richards. Stevenage got points on the board as Norwich were defeated 4-1, Leah Littlechild getting two, Kristi Burling and Donna McGuigan one apiece.

South West Division 1:  Pilgrims and Saints sailing

Plymouth stayed top following their 9-1 result at home to Larkhall, Tash Knapman leading the way with a four-goal haul. Southampton Saints overtook Poole by ending their fine start in a 4-0 win. Over 200 saw Cheltenham’s Whaddon Road debut but Maidenhead spoiled their party, going away 2-1 winners as Ria Salleh’s goal brought a Clare Rogers leveller and an 86th-minute decider by Alex Dover. Keynsham ran out 11-0 winners over St Nicholas, who were down to 10 players for much of the game, Kerry Bartlett taking advantage to register five times.
Southampton WFC made a winning start to their FAWPL life, a 5-0 beating of Basingstoke including singles from Sheree Bell-Jack, Emma Pinner, Jane Yeates and Laura Vokes.
