History To Be Made At The SSE FA Cup Final

The SSE Women’s FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium connected by EE is set for the biggest attendance in its history on Saturday.

Over 38,000 tickets have been sold for the showpiece fixture between Birmingham City and Manchester City and sales continue.

This is the third final to be staged at the national stadium, with the attendance increasing year on year. Last year’s Final – which Chelsea triumphed in - was played in front of a record 32,912 supporters.

Tickets are still on sale for the Final, with The FA and SSE partnering to ensure that children can attend the Final for free. Adult tickets are priced at £15 and can be purchased via www.TheFA.com/Tickets or by calling 0844 826 2010. There will also be the opportunity purchase tickets on match day, with early arrival recommended.

Kelly Simmons, The FA’s head of football participation and development said: “The SSE Women’s FA Cup is another substantial proof point of the growth of the women’s game in this country. The competition continues to go from strength to strength and that will be demonstrated with another record crowd at Wembley Stadium this weekend. This year’s Final is set to be a fantastic occasion and we’d urge anyone without plans to book tickets in advance and be part of history.”

Neither are workable or likely at present but hypothetically, would you prefer a more strict salary cap in the FA WSL OR should centrally contracted England players (that receive salaries from The FA) be allocated more evenly around WSL1 clubs?
